Getting Started
If you have decided to play a heavy melee class - start working up your str / dex. Gains are fast.
Priority #1 is to get self repair 5 on your gear at first level.
Priority 2 (for casters) is to raise your lower mana cost to 90% or better.
Where to farm?
There are many places that a new player can go to advance. The top places are:
-Orc Caves (Trammel)
-New Player Combat (Trammel)
-Zombie Invasion (Trammel)
In these locations you will find starter gear to level.
Be sure to check [donations for gear upgrades as other players may have dropped nice items in there.
Raising skills:
Animal Taming - There is an area dedicated to taming which can be found in the southeastern corner of the starting room (Sanctuary)
If you are impatient with taming, you can farm 1 mill gold and buy a bow to level it.
Keeping in mind that all skills can raise to 125, it is very easy to get them up over 100 and start farming.
Area of effect spells have been given a significant boost to help you level your gear.
-Evo pets are available at the vendor stones
Magery / Necromancy / Chivalry
These skills are easy to master with the starting ring removing the reagent cost and giving a cast speed increase. It is best to macro these with Razor or OUS (your pick).
Raising skills past 100:
So your skill is now stuck at 100 and you want to advance further. How?
Head over to Murder City, Wrong Dungeon level 3, Destard Level 1 or Champions Grove and start farming Skill Balls.
You can also vote once per day for an additional skill ball.
Powerscrolls - These are only obtainable from Merk the Zombie King at the "Star Room" after completing a champion spawn.
Keep in mind that Merk is extremely powerful, so it is advised to have healing at 120+, dex at 225 through leveled gear and a healing macro running. Also resistances of 70-75 are recommended. They are weak to fire so necro/magery combo helps a lot with corpse skin / meteor swam.
Merk can drop +10 skill balls as well as great gear and powerscrolls
